Learning4Life rotations have concluded for the Year 9s, completing units that aim to develop personal skills that can be used beyond the classroom. The units offered gave students the opportunity to learn about a range of topics including managing money and making financial decisions, growing fresh produce and preparing seasonal dishes, map reading and other basic outdoor skills, or even developing logical thinking strategies. Alongside these practical skills, students learn to work with different groups of peers, build relationships outside of their usual friendship group and reflect on how their choices can affect themselves and others. The ‘Career Voyager’ rotation encouraged students to reflect on their personal strengths and interests to consider future pathways that may be of interest to them.

Year 9s will begin their final Extended Learning Project (ELP) block this week (2 September). As always, classes can be based at Preston or Bundoora Campus. Classes based at Preston Campus will have a timetabled room beginning with ‘R’ or ‘K.’
