Each year, Parade College gathers to honour the Treacy Cup winners, the House that has shown the strongest commitment to participation, service, and community spirit. More than a trophy, the Treacy Cup represents the values of Brother Treacy, celebrating students who uplift others, contribute positively, and get involved wholeheartedly.

Last week, our College Assembly was a wonderful celebration of the many achievements, talents, and contributions of our students (a few examples below). We received over 500 images. From academic growth to co‑curricular success, leadership, service, and personal milestones, we proudly recognised the diverse ways our young people enrich our Parade community.
Thank you to all our families who generously shared images of their son or daughter. Your support helped us showcase the spirit, pride, and joy behind each achievement, making the celebration even more meaningful for our students and staff.

On Monday 27 July, the Year 10 cohort participated in an all-day seminar with Your Choicez. The Your Choicez seminar is an important part of the development of our students at Parade College. We have hosted David Kobler, co-founder of Your Choicez and program facilitator, at Parade College over many years where he has spoken to parents and students about the issues pertinent to our young people and has supported parents in how to have these conversations with their children. Specifically, David has discussed the topics of Relationships, Safe Sexual Decision Making, Pornography, Consent + Sexual Ethics, Identity + Pressures and Love.
David recently shared some amazing feedback he received from our Year 10 students, and I share this with you now below. It is encouraging to see the positive impact programs like this are having on our young men and heart-warming to see their willingness to learn and grow, even when the topics can be difficult to discuss. We thank the parents for their support and encourage them to continue the fruitful conversations that the boys had when participating in the program.
I am a Year 10 student at Parade and I was really shocked and surprised at some of the information that was discussed. It was useful information to learn and was presented in an intriguing way... I was happy with what I had learnt and almost proud that I went to school and actually had a good day.
I was in the Year 10 seminar on the 27th of July, and it was amazingly helpful. I know it was uncomfortable at times, but it got through to me and my mates...Thank you to David for this seminar. It helped me out a lot with my understanding of these topics and it improved how I see them and how I can use these in real life situations. Thank you.
The seminar did not make me leave with fear, but a new understanding of the way things work. It opened my mind to new things I never took into consideration before.
I was in your Year 10 student seminar today and I just wanted to say, thank you SO much. I walked away feeling like I learnt SO many important things that I will use forever. You made my peers and I feel comfortable, even when you were talking about some big topics. I was so impacted by the way you presented.
