As another school year draws to a close, we pause to reflect on the many blessings that have filled our community. Advent invites us into a time of waiting, hope and joyful expectation as we prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ at Christmas. In this spirit, we give thanks for the light, kindness and generosity that have shone so strongly across our College throughout 2025.
One of the clearest signs of this has been the incredible response to our social justice and fundraising initiatives this year. Thanks to the compassion and commitment of our students, families, and staff, we are delighted to announce that together we have raised $20,138 for The Good Samaritan Inn. These funds directly provide support and advocacy for women, gender diverse people and children who have experienced family violence and homelessness. This remarkable achievement reflects the collective kindness and commitment of our community, allowing us to support those most in need and to continue building a school culture where every person is valued and included.

As Christmas draws near, we return to the simplicity and wonder of the Nativity story. Like the shepherds who heard the angel proclaim, “I am bringing you good news of great joy for all people” (Luke 2:10), we too rejoice in the coming of Christ. The manger scene teaches us that greatness is found in simplicity. Jesus is born not in a palace but in a stable, surrounded by ordinary people. This challenges us to notice the sacred within the simple: a shared meal, a quiet moment, an act of kindness. Christmas invites us to slow down, reflect and appreciate the blessings that often go unnoticed.
We wish you and your loved ones a joyful Christmas and a restful, safe holiday break. May this time be filled with the blessing of peace, laughter, and the warmth of family and friends.
