2010 Subject Selection forms for Year 8 are due August 7

Year 8

Year8

This page contains information about courses and subjects that Parade College offers for both the core studies and the Year 8 Elective Curriculum structure.

We ask Year 7 students to choose a course for Year 8 electives, plus reserves. It is worth remembering that no unit can be undertaken more than once. Students have an opportunity to exercise more choice in Year 9 electives.

Core units in Year 8 are written for Level 5 of the Essential Learning Standards.

You will notice that Parade College offers a wide choice of units, however, it must be stressed that final offerings will, of course, depend on student numbers and availability of both staff and resources. Although the courses are correct at the time of posting, it should be understood that courses are revised on a systematic basis and some of these details will, from time to time, undergo revision.

If you have any questions relating to the Year 8 Curriculum which this website does not address, please do not hesitate to contact Mr. Robert Inglis, the Assistant Principal Teaching & Learning, or Mr. David Broadbent, the Director of Teaching and Learning at the College.
