ADVANCED PLACEMENT
The Parade College Advanced Placement Program is open to students who are academically strong, highly motivated and have an excellent work ethic.
The program is firmly focused on high levels of academic achievement. Students are offered an accelerated program in core subject areas that will enable them to compact four years of learning into Years 7 – 9. Students who achieve a standard of A or A+ average in their Advanced Placement subjects in Year 9 will be able to select up to two VCE Units 1 and 2 subjects (except English) in Year 10 and VCE Units 3 and 4 in Year 11. There will also be an opportunity to undertake one unit of Tertiary Enhancement studies in Year 12 for those who meet the Selection requirements. Tertiary Enhancement Studies will gain students credit toward their chosen degree at University and can be counted as a sixth study in their ATAR score.
The Parade College, Advanced Placement program offers a limited number of scholarships commencing in Year 9. Applicants undertake a selection test in the previous year and successful candidates are chosen on the basis of their performance in the selection test and on other criteria. Entry to the Advanced Placement Program is via the ACER HAST Test which is conducted in August of each year at the Bundoora campus. All students enrolled for Year 7 entry are invited to sit the selection test in August of the year prior to commencing Year 7.

The College also offers a range of extra curricular and co-curricular programs that also provide extension in areas such as:
- Debating
- Drama Production
- College Band
- A range of sporting teams
- Community Involvement
- Chess Club
